I'd never traveled outside the United States until I was 35, when I left my job as a journalist to live overseas in South Korea and teach Korean English teachers.

Teach: English, from grammar to literary analysis to creative non-fiction, I've taught it all to students ranging in age and English proficiency.

Learn: While I do greatly enjoy cooking for others, I'll certainly never win any awards in the kitchen except perhaps most pots/pans/bowls unnecessarily used. I am, however, very happy to help and learn!
