About Me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have just spent the past two years completing national service across the United States and I have found my passion for traveling! I want to see everywhere I possibly can before the comfort of staying in one place appeals to me. Couchsurfing is a great opportunity to see all these new places, with people who truly enjoy where they are living. I am excited to learn from everyone I can, and travel on an affordable budget!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I love live music! I have been to over 80 different concerts including 4 different music festivals. I love alternative/indie, folk, and jam bands. Some favorites include My Morning Jacket, Phish, OAR, Vampire Weekend, Edward Sharpe, and Alabama Shakes.

Movies: Independent, Documentaries, Suspense, Action films

Books: Gillian Flynn and Nick Hornby are two of my favorite authors right now.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Over the past year I have served as a Team Leader for eight 18-24 year olds as we completed 6 different national service projects across the United States for 10 months. We served in Midway City, CA; Williams, OR; Sacramento, CA; Ferndale, CA; and Modoc National Forest, CA. The team was also selected to serve on a disaster relief project in Flint, Michigan to help provide support during the Lead Water Crisis for three months.

Countries I’ve Visited
