About Me

CURRENT MISSION

i have to try before i die

ABOUT ME

If you really want to know about me, email me, come over and let's talk overnight around good beers and dark coffee =D

Ok, seriously now, but still very roughly:
I am a guy trying to make sense out of this world and out of myself most of all. I do it mainly through sport, food (a lot), music, sex, science, visual art, trips and socializing. Seldom in that order =D
I enjoy simple things and simple people the most.

Roughly.

PHILOSOPHY

turns out philosophy is not quite my field...
I like Calvin and Hobbes though ahaha!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was hosted in Miami, San Antonio, San Diego and Chicago while doing a 5-week trip in the USA at the end of my exchange year in Pittsburgh (PA).
I hosted a few CSers in Geneva in summer 2009.
Very good experiences.

Pretty inactive since then but that should change in the near future.

Interests

I think I already talked about them in the "All about you" (as it says: "all about me"!) section but I can make it more specific:

Sport: mainly climbing. Biking as a mean of transportation.
Food: any.
Music: mainly reggae, ragga, french music, rock, some pop, some rap, some electro. See below.
Science: indeed.
Visual art: mainly 2D, loads of comics and photography, anything not contemporary. Sometimes getting a crush on architecture and industrial design too. I love "art hijacking", graffitis and tshirt printing.
Sex: definitely.
Trips: last ones were to Geneva and 10 days through Berlin, Hamburg and Copenhagen.

Music, Movies, and Books

Woo, there are so many interesting movies!
Very short list : American psycho, Trainspotting, Requiem for a dream, 28 days later, Pulp fiction, Psycho, Black cat white cat, Princess Mononoke, Nightmare before Christmas, 36 quai des Orfèvres, Lammbock... many documentaries, a lot of short movies on vimeo.com (Last minutes with Oden is most likely my preferred one).
Last (good) ones I watched: Silentium and Zero dark thirty.

Music : I don't like any specific style. I guess we need a bit of everything to make a world.
A few songs/bands I really like:

Books : I actually don't read much. I read an article in the newspapers lately. Took me four evenings ahah! (But it was two full A2-pages long).

My reading style is getting more and more informative. Current exception: Karla trilogy of Le Carré, starting with Tinker, tailor, soldier, spy. 440 pages, took me 2 months...
I REALLY don't read much.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Only one? Oh, man... Life is not that boring. Ok, let's say four:
Meet those people who became my best friends.
Travel the world and meet random people.
Be born curious (that was pretty easy, though).
Start climbing. And never stop.

Teach, Learn, Share

Anytime, anywhere.
Both ways (do and get).

Countries I’ve Visited
