Hi you!

This Couchsurfing account goes by two people, Aline and Laurens. We're a couple since forever and mostly traveling the world together. I try not to talk always with 'we', but in this case 'we' would like to join Couchsurfing. We live in Brussels for more than 4 years, enjoying the big city life whilst working in fashion/design/beauty (Aline) and for Deliveroo (Laurens). What we love to do - besides traveling of course - is exploring our own city. If you need any tips regarding Brussels, we love to give you some! 我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Every year, we try to travel a couple of times abroad, preferably for a longer period. Normally, we use Airbnb (like a gazillion times already) but over the years, we notice that Airbnb becomes more and more an impersonal way of sleeping somewhere. For this reason, we would like to use Couchsurfing. We like to talk to people, hear their story whilst getting an impression of the cultural heritage of the country we're in. Laurens is the best cook ever, so we would love to cook you a meal. We're very communicative in several languages, but also respect everyone his or her privacy. Oh, and we clean up after ourselves!

兴趣

Aline is obsessed with anything regarding fashion, design or beauty. Don't think she'll will seize the bathroom, she more likes writing about it. Besides this, she studies Art History so everything cultural, she likes. She has a weak spot for architecture and botanical gardens. Laurens is the foodie, always smelling, touching and tasting any food he can gets. He also likes history and learning about the cultural heritage. We are both into music: classic rock, oldschool hip-hop, nineties r&b, deephouse our experimental electro.

Movies: anything directed by David Lynch, documentaries, La Grande Belezza, City of God and cheesy realityshows. Books: I prefer magazines like The Gentlewoman, Apartemento or Cereal. Laurens. Music: Interpol, Bonobo, Tame Impala, The Doors, Gardens & Villa, The War on Drugs, Kurt Vile, Darkside. Movies: anything with Steven Seagal, World War I or II-documentaries, science-fiction. Books: non-fiction.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Aline: I've went to Paris Fashion Week, hiked at 5000 meters altitude in Colombia, had the guts to quit my job and go traveling, slept on a desolate island in Sweden and started a successful blog about Brussels.
Laurens: I went volunteering in the Congolese jungle for four weeks, traveled with Aline for a month through the Balkan, found the job of my life at Deliveroo and cooked every single recipe of Yotam Ottolenghi.
