About Me
CURRENT MISSION
"Looking for the way to make this life if not the happiest, but the most memorable and crazy experience ever." It's been my motto for a long time. Now I am more concerned not about my own self, but about the world around me. I don't want it to sound high-flown: I would love to change it for the better. And the only instrument I personally have for it is literature and art. Perhaps in a couple of decades we'll see what will come out of it!
ABOUT ME
I wish I lived in 1920s.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
After visiting a couple of cities on my own and comparing this experience to my first trip to Paris (I stayed at an amazing host!) I understood that guidebooks are the worst friends of a tourist. There is nothing better that hanging out with locals and having a look at how they live like. And I hate hotels: they're soulless.
Unfortunately, I can not host the people at my place, as I could hardly fit in the bed into my room and couch-surfers will not appreciate sleeping in the doorway, so I'm just doing my best showing the best and the weirdest places in the city to travelers and friends from abroad.

Music, Movies, and Books
Well my biggest love is literature. No doubt. All in all, I'm fanatic about Bulgakow, Woolf, Dostoevskij, Kafka, Celine, Böll, Faulkner, Baudelaire, Brodskij, Elinek, Orhan Pamuk etc. It would be nerdish to continue and to name all the authors I love, but one of my favourite periods in history of literature is definitely modernism. And authors of later periods that are quite critical about society, that have a strong point of view and that seek to change the world through his majesty WORD.
I do have a huge personal list of top-movies and bands, but it's.. ah. Just takes so long. Antonioni. 70s-80s. And techno.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have learnt from others more than I have learnt in universities. Languages, literature, music, politics, theater and so much more.. So I am really looking forward to meet people that know more about that than me and are ready to share.
