Music, Movies, and Books

I'm an absolute bookworm. I love reading almost all types of books. C.S. Lewis, J.K. Rowling, Greggory Maguire, Tom Robbins, Barbara Kingsolver. Honestly the list could go on, and on, and on. I'll give any book a chance from best sellers to random authors at a used bookshop.

I love film festival and lesser known movies. But I'm also down to see the newest blockbuster. That being said I really don't watch that many movies. I've watched entire documentaries in foreign languages (with subtitles) in the middle of the night because I couldn't sleep but then became fascinated with the subject.

I'm really good at playing the radio. I'll listen to almost anything but don't ask me to pick something to listen to. My friends say I'm good to go to karaoke with because I know all the words but can't sing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm a PADI Divemaster and 4 nights I week I got to get in the water with the Manta Rays. Which are incredible animals that fly through the water with so much power but also incredibly gracefully.
One of my favorite dives is offshore at night in 3000-5000ft (900-1520m) of water looking at jelly fish bells the size of your face with tentacles that continue for ages and sea horses the size of your pinky (smallest) finger.

I spent 95 days solo backpacking Europe in spring 2017 just to see if I liked solo travel....turns out I love it! Then did a month in Japan and 3months is SE Asia. Spend a month in New Zealand before moving to Australia...ask me about the Great Barrier Reef, it was my office for a year and a half!

Teach, Learn, Share

I used to work in the tourism industry and met people from all over the world. Some of the funniest conversations I have had I are between multiple people from various English speaking countries about what the word for something is. We can all agree that it is a shoe or a hat but what is the word for the particular type?
I have also acted out (pantomimed) entire safety briefings and other information to people who do not speak languages that I know. It's always funny in the end.

I'm attempting to learn Spanish but it's going real slow.

So I'm not sure if I have included all of Teach, Learn, and Share in this section but I'll teach you what I know, learn what you have to teach, and share stories, and adventures.

I love to cook, go on adventures, share laughter, tell stories, and create memories.
I'm a pretty independent person but I love to meet locals and get the insides of a town, city, and country.

You can meet people from all over the world everywhere but you can only meet a local in their home town.
