About Me

I'm an outgoing, overly tall and ocean-loving girl from the Shropshire countryside in England. I am not too good at describing myself outside of my general appearance but I will try my best!
I am a massive surf fan and I have been since I was knee-high to a grasshopper thanks to being bought up with a Kelly Slater wanna-be of a dad. Although my surfing skills are rusty to say the least (boo to moving massively inland 8yrs ago) I still take an avid interest in the industry and I hope to get my skills waaaaay back up as soon as poss! So much so that I will be studying Surf Science at university in September 2016 (yes, it's an actual thing).
I guess if I could sum myself up as a person I would say I am a totally chilled out girl who just enjoys being in the company of others with similar interests and values, and dogs.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Someone with local knowledge and interests similar to mine would be a great place to start my new chapter.

Interests

I love anything adventurous! Cliff diving, hiking, board sports... loooove it.
I absolutely love the ocean and everything to do with the ocean - ever.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't have a specific music genre which I am into. Quite literally I can go from Fleetwood Mac to Parkway Drive in 4 minutes. My favourite bands usually turn out to be Nordic (no idea why) so Moddi, Tussilago and Holy Holy are big ones for me. Along with Years Around the Sun, Civil Twilight, Mac DeMarco e.c.t.
Hands down, 'The Secret Life of Walter Mitty' and 'The Lord of the Rings Trilogy' are my favourite films in the history of ever. I also have a little obsession with shorties. But then again, 'Castles in the Sky' is also a massive favourite of mine.
Despite the fact that I studied English Literature for two years of my life, I don't read enough to have any favourite books. In fact, that subject has destroyed a considerable proportion of my love for books. I guess I'll just wait for the movie?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

At the start of 2015 I went to Iceland and [amongst other things] hiked up Eyjafjallajökull and that was probably the most amazing experience of my life, to date. Also being able to go to places such as Grindavík was beyond words. It is definitely somewhere I will be going back to ASAP!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am one of those people who quite snugly fits into the phrase "jack of all trades, master of none". Despite my age I have done and tried alot of things!
Plus I could save you if you ever decided to drown. Or at least try.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A British sense of humour and keen tea-making abilities.
But joking aside I feel as though as a person I have a lot to offer for any host, although I can't quite pin down what. I have had some pretty funny life experiences which would brighten up most bad Monday mornings.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, France, Iceland, Italy, Portugal, Spain
