I've lived and worked in Taiwan for the past four years and before that had the blessed opportunity to travel a good deal on mission trips and sociology tours. I adore adventure and traveling and relish any chance I get to meet new people and see the world through their unique perspective.

Side note: I've been a vegetarian all my life and I am not much of a "party" animal these days (unless the party involves board games, lots of tea, a marathon of movie watching/book reading, outdoor activities, or dancing), and on a scale of "wild and crazy" to "uber conservative" I'm a high school teacher with a goofy sense of humor so not sure where that lands on the scale.

I like to see places from a local's perspective and also like to meet new people and make new friends. I also like to show people around Taiwan, helping them to see why it is a hidden gem of East Asia. 7 billion is not so big a number that I can't get started on trying to meet everyone.

Musica, film e libri

Eclectic taste in music ranging from Medieval troubadour love songs and Gregorian chants to Celtic sea shanties and Gypsy fiddle tunes to Big Band musicians like Count Bassie and Duke Ellington to golden oldies from Jerry Lee Lewis and Bing Crosby to David Bowie and Journey to ACDC and the Scorpions and etc. (basically anything that can make me dance and also soothes my soul). I like all sorts of movies except horror and excessive violent or graphic films (I watch Last of the Mohicans in the fall every year and typically watch a few Star Trek episodes regularly too), and C.S. Lewis, Carlos Ruiz Zafon, Ellen White, and J. R.R. Tolkien are a few of my favorite authors.

We each are the summation of those who've come before us and who have also come into our lives. Whatever it is that is "amazing" about me or that I've accomplished is very much connected to the "amazing" features of those in my life.
