Overview
About Me
I enjoy the art of getting lost somewhere beautiful and pouring a pint.
My goal is to visit one country during my travels of which I do not speak the national language of. Though sometimes I wonder if I can speak my own.
This is my first trip over the pond. Jan 11-27th. Visiting London, Glascow, Edinburgh, Galway, Paris. No itinerary. This is a spontaneous trip I booked while sipping coffee in a cafe cruising the internet.
Not easily offended and usually giggle at anything remotly dirty.
I'm horrendously clumsy. My scars are war wounds.
I live on the far west coast of Canada on Vancouver Island in Ucluelet. The community thrives on surf culture. It is surrounded by a rainforest and white sand beaches that go on for miles! Usually on one of them having a bonfire.
I work as a deep sea fishing/ whale watching guide and moonlight as a waitress at the local spot. I also used to work on commercial fishing vessels at sea. This girl has kahunas!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have lived and worked in hostels and loved it. I believe that couch surfing is a like minded community that would keep me safe, open me up to new experiences and give me the opportunity to see things from a locals perpective.
I especially love hearing about your journey and enjoy sharing mine.
Interests
Stamps on my passport.
Tacos.
Getting in the jeep and going on adventures down back roads. Usually finding amazing waterfalls or bridges that stretch across mountains and lakes.
Collecting books and watching them gather dust on my shelves after I read them.
Snowboarding, scuba diving, snowmobeiling, icefishing, the ocassional igloo building and polar bear wrestling, surfing, hiking. Sometimes in the same day and sometimes I fail gloriously.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Threw a dart at a map to see where in Canada I was moving to next. That's how I ended up in the West Coast.
Teach, Learn, Share
My teachable moment: Always look where your walking. (The only person I know to have broken bones simply doing so)
Firm believer in learning something new everyday. Usually pointless facts that serve no real purpose in life. For example, a ducks quak does not echo.
Sometimes I over share with my odd sense of humour.
What I Can Share with Hosts
smiles, hugs, pints, moments, high fives, meals, stories, laughs and adventure!
