Overview
About Me
Recent transplant to Bend from the Midwest. I am very easy going and believe in the importance of following the flow of life. I think there is a great beauty in getting to know others and experiencing new ways of life. It is impossible to understand how the world works without first experiencing the cultures, religions, beliefs, and habits of others.
My job keeps me in the woods for 8 days at a time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe in the mission to make traveling accessible to more people, and I think the value of opening up your home to strangers has been mostly lost over the years.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite musician of all time is hands down Jack Johnson. I also love Matisyahu, The Lumineers, The Head and the Heart, José Gonzalez, and so many more. The books that have most shaped my life are the Harry Potter series. I love to read, especially fantasy, but also more informative books particularly on inter-religious dialogue. I'm a big fan of movies, although I don't watch them all that frequently. The film, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, really speaks to me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
While I lived in France, I went on the trip of my dreams to Iceland. It was absolutely breathtaking, and I would recommend it as a place to visit for everyone.
