About Me
**IMPORTANT: I can't log into my old account anymore because I forgot my password and my university email address has expired. I've been on couch surfing for years, so all of my friends/references are on my old account for now (although I'm trying to bring them on this one!). Here is my old profile:

I'm settled down for the moment finishing my law degree, but travelling affords me some of my greatest loves:
- Meeting new people
- Learning from them
- Seeing the world
- FOOD.
I started travelling the summer after I finished secondary school, and have done so as much as I could since then. I spent a year living in the UK doing an academic exchange and a year in Hong Kong for an additional academic exchange. I grew up in South Africa and now am based in Canada.
In all of the places I've been, my favorite part of my travels have been to meet local people. It's amazing how much you can relate to people no matter where they come from. I love it when I am shown around a city by someone who lives there and who shows me whose spots are special and unique to them.
I am also a firm believer in healthy-living, and do yoga, swimming, jogging, and the occasional aerobics. I love cooking and am always experimenting. I also love learning new recipes from different places!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My previous university email address has been deleted, so I have recently had to make a completely new CS account. However, I've been using CS for years and have met wonderful couch surfers in Japan, Hungary, Spain, the US, and Canada.
I have had the privilege to share stories and lives with people I met through couch surfing, and as I slowly start to travel again I look forward to becoming an active couch surer again.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: MUSICALS! This means anything Andrew Lloyd Webber, Fiddler on the Roof, and the classics from the 1940s-1960s.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Stayed overnight on Mount Mulanje in Malawi. So quiet, so peaceful, amazing.
The view of the stars from there was stunning, and it is a great feeling of accomplishment to achieve such a goal.
Looking for an opportunity to climb another mountain...
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach how to cook traditional South African dishes (I'm South African originally).
What I Can Share with Hosts
Like I said above, cooking. And good conversation. I'm also a fan of just hanging out and splitting a bottle or two of wine.
