About Me

Hey there!

Currently a graduate student living in Oregon, originally from Australia. I treasure travelling the world and creating space for meeting people living in weird and wonderful ways. This summer I've been laying low and practicing stillness in my current home of Eugene--reading, writing, sitting in the river all day long, and slinging veggies at the farmer's market.

Now that summertime bloom is reaching its peak, I've decided I need to head off an adventure for a few weeks to see a little of the East Coast! Really excited to meet some new people and feel what life is like over this side.

I'd be so grateful to find a temporary home on your couch and share a tiny piece of your life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To help us forget about money for a second, to meet you, for cosy precarious adventure.

Interests

Lots of my days are spent writing. In between, I like making things (ceramic things, food things, paint things, fabric things) and writing long lists of things I want to make. I also like to ride my bike (don't have a car, so also don't always have a choice), reading (for school but also wrangling back the possibility of reading for fun), s l o w l y learning guitar (help me!?).

Music, Movies, and Books

Gates of Heaven, Errol Morris. Best documentary, hands down.
Tampopo is a cinematic close second.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was four I fell off a swing in front of the queen of England.

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach environmental humanities to undergrads, if you wanna chat about that.
But I also know how to make mustard, pretty good hummus, sauerkraut, and I have one great joke about an elephant.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Very good salad, pretty good conversation ft. an Australian accent, a willingness to help you clean the bits of your kitchen that you've been avoiding.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Belize, Bolivia, Cambodia, Chile, Croatia, England, France, Germany, Guatemala, India, Italy, Laos, Mexico, Netherlands, Peru, Poland, Spain, Thailand, United States, Uruguay, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
