About Me
I am a graduate student in Mathematics. I really love to read, find new local beers to try with my husband Patrick (PJ), build trip itineraries to satisfy my wanderlust, or take advantage of beautiful WV tourism.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My favorite thing about the little bit of travel I have been able to do so far has been making local friends. I love trying to new bits and pieces of new languages, and I enjoy learning about local history and culture while trying to experience the life of locals as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
While traveling in Italy for the first time, my friend and I had been spending time in Rome with new friends. We were staying about an hour outside of the city, and were leaving the country the next morning, so we had to make sure we made it back to our hotel at a decent hour. We missed our planned evening train by seconds as we were standing on the platform, so we had to catch the last possible train out of Rome close to midnight. The train ended up stopping short of where we needed to actually go and we were stranded in the middle of nowhere about 10 miles from our town. A gypsy in an abandoned train station taught us to break dance, and we caught the most terrifying bus back to Nettuno, in time to make it to the local bar for a few more drinks with the rest of our group before calling it a night.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love sharing language learning the most. I also really want to be able to experience/learn how to cook local dishes, and share some great drinks.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my English language teaching, and cook some "American" dishes.
