Overview
About Me
Fully vaxxed!
Friendly, midwestern / educated, professional nomad / empathy, trust, community
Hi I’m Meg. I’m a web developer that loves to travel and meet new people. I’m a big believer in community and genuine human connection.
I work from my laptop writing code for websites, so I can work from anywhere, leaving me free to travel.
The last few years, I’ve lived and worked in various places, such as living and working in Antarctica for five months through the United States Antarctica Program. I’ve also lived on an urban farm as an AmeriCorps VISTA farm associate and spent a winter in Colorado working at local, family-owned ski area.
Before I switched to a career in coding, which took a year of learning, I graduated college with a BS in Psychology and worked in the service industry in many restaurants and bars as a server.
I grew up in Ohio, so I’ve got that “friendly, midwestern” thing going on and I’m a huge proponent of personal responsibility.
Everywhere I go, I strive to build community. In this world, it’s the most important thing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Adventure! The give and take of the human experience. Excited to meet new and interesting friends.
I am also trying to use this platform to just sleep somewhere and make minimal impact on someone's home while I travel for work.
