Overview
About Me
I haven't had to fill out an 'About Me' in so long so let me get the basics out of the way here. I'm 21 with no major life plans at this point, but I'm trying to be optimistic and use this time to be free while I still can. I plan on pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, I'm very passionate about it but i'd like to hone up my basic art skills a bit first, and I would love to learn some new techniques from the people I meet while traveling. I really enjoy horseback riding but I haven't had much time for it the past couple years thanks to school. I took four years of French in high school but not much of it stuck so I'm trying to refresh my memory a bit. I love being outdoors and enjoying nature, but I also love just chilling out and relaxing, I'm somewhat of an amateur movie buff as well. I like to think I'm easy to get along with and down to earth, I'm good at being casual even in awkward situations and it comes in handy more often than you'd think. Overall, I'm a really nice person and i'm really excited to meet all kinds of new, interesting people along my way.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I found this site in an article about traveling without very much money. I've always wanted to travel on my own but I could never see myself going to a brand new city completely alone without knowing anyone and I don't exactly have friends in every state so this site seemed like the perfect solution! I'm excited to meet new people and learn about heir experiences and their town through their eyes. It just sounds like a much more insightful and rewarding way to travel than staying at a hotel on my own.
I have some time off before I go back to school, and the family I work for is taking a pretty big vacation so I'm not tied down on that front either, so this seemed like the perfect time for me to pursue this little dream of mine.
Interests
I already typed most of these out in the About Me before I realized there were other sections (lol) so I'll just list them off and add a few others instead of typing it all out again.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I enjoy a pretty wide variety of music so i'll just put a couple artists from different genres to give you an idea. Artic Monkeys, Johnny Cash, Lana Del Rey, Drake, Kongos, Childish Gambino, A Day to Remember, Sia, Renegades, pretty much anything.
Movies: Don't even get me started, the only genres I'm not super fond of is like westerns and martial arts movies, but comedies, horror, chick flicks, action, you name it, i've prrrrobably seen it.
Books: I grew up on the Harry Potter novels and Shel Silverstein books. I loved the Hunger Games trilogy. There are also some classics I enjoy though, such as the Hobbit and the Scarlet Letter. I'm currently in the middle of reading the Circle Trilogy by Tedd Dekker.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I don't think I've done anything particularly amazing yet, but that's what I'm trying to achieve by traveling so wish me luck!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm not sure what I have to teach or share, but hopefully this adventure will help me learn all kinds of new things that I can teach and share with people in the future.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I don't have any great valuable possessions, but I'm very neat and always willing to help around the house and pull my own weight!
