About Me

I can't help it, the road just rolls out behind me.

I'm an independent, easy going, and tidy person who's drawn toward other respectful and creative people. I live for those good sink-yer-teeth in conversations but also love time to myself. I feel fortunate that my day job is all about working with a team to enrich the lives of the people in my local community while being able to work with my hands.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I was 11 my parents sent me on an international summer camp to Brazil through a program called CISV (http://www.cisv.org/). That incredible experience (and a few more programs I would continue on with) showed me that even with language barriers and vast cultural differences (and stained shoes from the very red soil) we're all not really that different. Willingness to listen and understand each other goes a long way.

I'm excited to go out exploring and attend local events. I usually seek out the modern art museum, places to people watch, and the supermarket (there's just something fun about them in another country...) I love to hear about little tips and tricks that make each place unique, and hope I can share some of my own finds with you too.

Music, Movies, and Books

If we are what we get up to, I find reading about food, human behaviour, contemporary art and medical history catch my eye. People are entirely strange and fascinating creatures! I like visually striking films and sometimes really crappy tv. I usually listen to music that fits into the indie/electronic/alternative/jazzy/bluesy/folky umbrella.

Teach, Learn, Share

perfecting a cup of coffee, swing dance moves, preparing an elaborate picnic, a good ear, how to make more space in your pantry...

What I Can Share with Hosts
