I'm here to host, travel, connect; to share the sand, surf and culture of Asbury Park with others; to link with local roots when I venture out; and I enjoy occasions of meeting people at a point of exploration.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm usually reading a mix of fiction, theory, research, criticism, and poetry. I love rich text (ex. Nabakov, Tolstoy, David Foster Wallace, Gabriel García Marquez, Deleuze and Guattari, C. G. Jung, etc.). Right now, I am into The Luminaries by Eleanor Catton.

The best movie I've seen in theaters lately was Love & Mercy. I'm big into Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys. I was raised to love Nirvana and the Talking Heads. Woody Allen films are a guilty pleasure of mine. What else? I like groups that combine elements of psychadelia , folk, electronica, and pop (Black Moth Super Rainbow). And, jazz too like Coltrane and Sun Ra.
