About Me
I grew up in Portland, Oregon!
Currently, I live in New Orleans, Louisiana! After backpacking Europe for a couple months I came here for a best friends wedding and never left. In November 2017 I'll have been here two years.
I just started with Southwest Airlines, and work part time a youth shelter.
With that, I work odd hours but on my off time I enjoy checking out music around town, having friends over for "family dinners" and being as physically active as I can.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on CSing because I love people. Before having a profile of my own I hosted many surfers though my roommates profiles. Through those experiences I have met many amazing people, and have built a few long term friendships.
I have recently changed my status to "Meet Up" because I live with someone who isn't quite comfortable with hosting yet. It may be a possibility but she'd like to meet you first which isn't always possible when traveling.
Interests
Throughout the years I've sang with different groups around town hitting up random Open Mic nights. I love Musical Theater, and dancing. Music Festivals are where I've made some of my most cherished memories. I have a core group of friends who I've attended many festivals with such as What the Festival!?, Mt. Stomp, Sasquatch and Burning Man. All very unique and wonderful experiences!!

Music, Movies, and Books
I'll admit to being somewhat of a TV junkie… I have a bad habit of getting hooked on shows that are cancelled after one season.
Since being out of school I haven't done as much reading as I use to. Most recently I've read a few books from The Game of Thrones, the books I'm most attracted to tend to be fanciful and adventurous.
The music I love most crosses all genres, I love songs that tell stories. I listen to a lot of Jazz, Musicals, R&B, Classic Country, Hip Hop...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think one of the amazing things I've done is follow my whim and build a life here in NOLA. I see myself possibly here for another year...then who knows.
Teach, Learn, Share
Much of my traveling and uprooting success has been because of the generosity of others. I want to pay it forward and share what I know of my new city. I also want to learn about other peoples lives and use it as fuel for future travels.
