Overview
About Me
I'm currently a Kiwi living in London. I left NZ 3 years ago and have been trying to travel as much as possible since then. I spent my first 3 months away from home working at a Summer camp in New York and then backpacking across America. After arriving in London with less than £1000 to my name and only my rucksack on my back, I lived in various hostels for 8 weeks before I finally found a wee room of my own. Since then I have been trying to travelling around once a month to various countries in Europe, Africa and even one trip back to the US.
For work, I have always been in and around media, I am currently working in Television Transmission with channels such as BBC Worldwide and ITV.
I'm looking to experience all our little planet has to offer, both touristy and local attractions. I'd probably describe myself as a country girl and love to escape the big city and often as possible. But equally love finding quirky hidden spots in London and abroad.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I left NZ in June 2016 in search of adventure around the world. I started off in New York, working as a Camp Counsellor, teaching kids all about radio. I explored the US a bit after camp until my visa expired and they kicked me out. I've now been in London for nearly 3 years exploring Europe and other nearby places as much as possible. I'd love to meet new people and learn about a different way of life and hopefully share a bit of mine.
Interests
I would definitely describe myself as an outdoorsy person, which is sometimes a bit tricky in the great London metropolis but we like to escape as much as possible! I love hiking, exploring, camping, a bit of geocaching, boating and being in or near the water and everything in between. I enjoy photography, capturing the sunset in a new place. And I love new experiences!

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite films (although cheesy) are Mamma Mia & Mamma Mia 2, I love all of the ABBA music (the ABBA museum in Stockholm was a traveling highlight) and of course, who would love to runaway to a beautiful island in Greece and fall in love? I love listening to audiobooks, you'll catch me in the pub once a month discussing our latest read with my book club - Recent favourites include Daisy Jones & The Six and Valley of the Dolls!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm not sure if I could name just one, a roadtrip along the south coast of Iceland with all of my friends, enjoying the beautiful scenery on the Ring of Kerry in Ireland, parasailing along the coastline of Markarska in Croatia, riding a camel across the Sahara Desert in Morocco. Every new adventure in a new place is something amazing and something I am very grateful I get to experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can speak some Te Reo Maori (the native language of New Zealand), and have a head full of various card games. I enjoy cooking breakfast and brunch food too!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Aside from the kiwi accent and the funny words I use, I love to have a laugh and share some banter. I love food and exploring and would love to share both of those things with a host.
