Overview
About Me
Hello! My name is Megan. I'm from the beautiful state of Oregon and have lived there for my whole life, except for 4 months I got to spend in England. I'm pretty relaxed and quiet but I love to experience new things, try new foods, and just get immersed into a different culture.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on an extremely tight budget so couch surfing is perfect for me. I also love how it gives you the opportunity to see where a local person lives and maybe learn about some less well-known areas to visit.
Interests
I love traveling and being in nature (I grew up in the countryside). My main hobbies are reading and writing, which I've been doing since I was about 4 years old. My main interest is stories in pretty much any form. I am definitely a nerd sometimes and I'm a little bit too obsessed with pop culture sometimes also, but hey, it's good to be passionate about things, right?

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy a wide range of entertainment - my tastes tend to be all over the place.
My favorite bands are twenty one pilots, Fall Out Boy, and Panic! at the Disco (that may make me sound really punk, but I promise you I'm not).
Favorite movies include the Lord of the Rings trilogy (extended editions of course), The Hunger Games movies, pretty much any Marvel movie, and period pieces like Pride & Prejudice, Wives & Daughters, or The Book Thief.
Books - oh my goodness I could go on and on for days. I mainly read Young Adult fiction but I also love to read classics like Shakespeare, etc. My all-time favorite series is the Chaos Walking trilogy by Patrick Ness. Some assorted favorites include: Divergent, The Bell Jar, 1984, Circle of Friends, etc. I'm currently making my way (slowly) through Les Miserables and I love it, but it's definitely not the easiest read!
(My tastes are super varied, I told you)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Again, super nerdy, but I've written a 50,000-word novel in one month as part of National Novel Writing Month. That was crazy. And fun. And I feel like it might be a little sad that that's the first 'amazing' thing that popped to my mind. I don't think I'm a very exciting person.
