My name is Megan Seiler. My parents and three sisters live in Arkansas in the United States. Family means the world to me. They are supportive and caring and continue to teach me important life lessons that I will forever be grateful for.

I am currently studying Nursing at Missouri State University in the United States. My dream is to be able to work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in the hospital helping the sick and premature babies.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This spring 2015 semester, I am studying abroad at the University of Bradford in England. I think it is important to learn about other cultures and to have a greater understanding of the world and the connections we all have. We live on such a beautiful and diverse planet, why not go exploring? I plan on visiting as many places as I can while I am here in Europe. This is the chance of a lifetime.

Interests

I have been a dancer since I was three years old. I have trained in the usual ballet, tap, and jazz. I have also enjoyed learning modern, lyrical, hip hop, pointe, swing, salsa, tango, and a variety of other styles. Dancing is such an amazing release, both physically and emotionally. You get to express yourself through music and movement, not to mention the lasting friendships you make.

My favorite sport to watch and play is soccer, or football as the rest of the world calls it. I played striker and there is nothing like the rush you get after scoring a goal. My entire family often goes to the park and plays 3 v 3, and we have traveled all over for various soccer tournaments. I cannot wait to see a Premiere League match here in the UK.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love acoustic music. The soft and relaxing sounds are just what I need to calm down after a stressful day. I also listen to a variety of other kinds of music and am open to listening to new artists and songs.

I am a hopeless romantic when it comes to movies. I really enjoy a good sappy love story and the happily ever after ending. I also love action movies, something to get your heart racing. I am just not a fan of horror; I scare pretty easily :)

Mention Harry Potter to me and we will be instant friends. As long as you are not a muggle, you will hopefully catch my casual references in every day conversation.

I have always loved reading. I can sit for hours and hours with a good book and not even notice the time passing. It is fun to escape into an entirely new world for awhile.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was little, I was able to dance on stage with the Moscow Ballet when their tour came to my town. They were so incredibly talented!
