I'm currently a senior in college studying Environmental Science. I love being outside and exploring new places. I've spent every summer since I graduated high school working as a camp counselor and I love it. I really enjoy working with kids, they are so much fun! I just finished a study abroad program in rural Italy and am doing some traveling before I head home in mid November. I'm very easy going and responsible.

Several friends of mine recommended couchsurfing because they had great experiences with it. Their favorite things about it were getting to meet wonderful people and have a different experience than staying in a hostel. As a college student it would also be fantastic to save money while traveling and then hopefully be able to host travelers in the US in the future

I love geology and any kind of adventure outside (hiking, biking, kayaking, swimming). I also really enjoy art, specifically drawing and pottery. In my free time I like reading and spending time with friends and family and cooking delicious food. I play the violin and guitar and love playing music with people. I also think puppies are really adorable.

Music- I like singer songwriter and folk music. Some of my favorite artists are Ari Herstand, Walk off the Earth, Nickel Creek, and the Wailin' Jenny's

Movies- I love movies! Favorites include Pirates of the Caribbean (only the first one), Lord of the Rings, Top Gun, The Proposal, Notting Hill

Books- I also really love books. I'm a huge fan of Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. Recently I've loved The Big Tiny, Wild, and the Book Thief.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

When I was in Italy this fall 4 friends and I went to Gran Paradiso National Park for our fall break to go backpacking. One afternoon we did an extra hike up to a glacier and walked around on it and then jumped into the lake about 100ft from the glacier! It was crazy cold, but a once in a lifetime experience that was incredibly fun.

I could teach people how to play violin or guitar, or how to cook Italian style food. I would love to learn just about anything, especially making things

I would love to spend time with hosts just chatting and getting to know hosts. I enjoy cooking with people so I would happily make dinner with them. If there are instruments in the house I could play those with a host too. I also have lots of stories from my experience abroad that I would love to share
