I'm Megan, a solo traveller on a quest of self-discovery. I love immersing myself in new cultures and experiences and meeting new people I can call friends.

When I'm not travelling I work as a Sub Editor for a magazine based in North West England. In my spare time I like to write or get lost in a good book and I'm constantly on the look-out for new music so I love catching a gig whenever I have the chance. Good food and wine are the things that make me happy, along with exploring new places and learning something new each day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm yet to surf, but I'm so intrigued by the experience and the opportunity it gives to meet new people from all walks of life. It would be great to surf at somebody's who would be up for showing me around because I'm all for new experiences and getting the most from my travels!

I'm a respectable, clean and tidy person who's up for socialising, but totally understand if you're too busy to show me around!

Music, Movies, and Books

This question totally depends on the mood I'm in! I love anything funk, soul and disco. I love rock 'n' roll, pop, hip hop and reggae. I love ANYTHING from the 60s and 70s .. and take me back to the 90s any day.

My favourite books are Just Kids by Patti Smith, The Time Traveller's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger and Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami.
