En route to Ireland for MFA writing residency. I love practicing yoga, reading, music, laughter, the Spanish language, food, wine, conversation, hiking, rock climbing, and more. I usually divvy up my day so that it allows ample time for day dreaming and writing somewhere in the mix.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have unofficially hosted plenty of fine folks and finally, I've decided to join this wonderful community of surfers and hosts who do this all the time. I'm happy to be here!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've lived in homes where couch surfers frequented our living rooms, spare bedrooms, and common spaces. I've never surfed myself, but I'm excited to join this community and see where it takes me!

Interests

Everything! Seriously...but if I had to express my interests with words, they'd be these ones: yoga, music, writing, language, photography, permaculture, practice, social change, food, cooking, singing, wine, dancing, listening, reading, conversation, travel, nature, swimming, canyons, rocks, climbing, learning, cats, dogs, chickens, stars, clouds, sunsets, all.of.it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Women Who Run With the Wolves is my latest inspiration, but there are so many more. Music is my medicine, my inspiration, my companion, and more! I love bluegrass, old-time, electronica, world, electro-world, reggae-ton, kirtan, jam-bands, funk, jazz, hip-hop, americana, folk, and everything else!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Children amaze me, more specifically little babes who are determined to crawl. It's amazing to watch connections form in their brains, right there on the carpet. Aside from little ones, I am amazed by all of it: full moons rising through the trees, Arches National Park and the secret canyons of Southeastern Utah, people who surprise you, the French Broad River at night, understanding Spanish for the first time. It's all part of the amazing ride of life.
