About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel and meet funky people all around the globe

ABOUT ME

I enjoy meeting all kinds of people to share a cup of coffee, tea, meal, or walk through a city or countryside. I grew up traveling across the USA with my family of 5, camping and hiking all along the way. A mini van and small pop up camper can be a bit tight at times! I finished my undergraduate degree in 2009 in communication disorders. From here I moved to Asheville, NC and worked with some amazing individuals with Autism. From here I moved to Charleston, SC and worked as a speech therapist for a year before deciding to pick up and move to Spain for a year or so. I am in Ronda working at a study abroad program for students to learn Spanish. I actually studied here for 6 months in 2007 and am excited to be back. I am also working on my masters and teaching English, so some days I do not have much free time to hang out or show people around.

I would love to host people or meet for coffee if there is anyone coming through the small, but beautiful, town of Ronda.

PHILOSOPHY

Karma. People who smile. Learning all I can. Treat every person like I want to be treated and then some...because we all know how badly we can treat ourselves sometimes. Believe in people until they give you a reason not to. And then, give second chances. Meditation. Home cooked meals with great people. Getting lost in a new city or town. Camping under the stars. Full moons. New food and lots of veggies.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am open to possibly hosting people on my couch. I am definitely open to meeting for a drink and am hoping to meet some wonderful people when I travel to other cities in Europe and Africa.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new to official couchsurfing. Unofficially though I have been hosting and staying on new friends´ couches for years and meeting people in cafes, plazas, and restaurants. So far I have hosted 7 people and have more people planned and every experience has been wonderful and different. My favorite CS experiences so far have been hiking in the gorge with 2 different surfers.

Interests

Traveling and meeting new people of course! Reading, hiking, camping, swimming in all bodies of water possible.
