About Me
ABOUT ME
I recently graduated from The University of Texas at Austin. After growing up in Banchory, Scotland for 8.5 years, I moved to Houston, Texas. I loved Houston, but living in Austin is an amazing adventure. I love the outdoors, the music scene, the unique restaurants, and the fitness lover atmosphere. My whole life I have been a sports fanatic. This has led me to play, coach, ref, and ultimately want to work with sports rehab. Overall, I'm super laid back, love to socialize, and drink craft beer.
PHILOSOPHY
I live to meet others and to inspire them with my story, in hopes that they will return the favor. I love to just sit down and chat about life. That might include our goals, our travel adventures, our career ambitions, important lessons learned or anything else that sparks an intellectual conversation.
There are a few quotes that I live by and help me through the tough times:
"Everything happens for a reason"
"One door closes, but another door opens"
But my favorite quote for day to day life is:
"Life is our dictionary" - Emerson
We get to choose how to live and what we will be remembered for.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
In 2013, I biked across North America and stayed with various couch surfing hosts. It was incredible. I loved just sitting in a stranger's house and getting to listen to their life experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have never been a big reader, but I'm trying to set aside time each night to read. If you have any recommendations, please let me know.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
-Traveled across Great Britain alone. It was a very growing experience as I normally travel with my family or friends.
-Slept under the stars in Colorado. The sky was unbelievable on a clear night and made me think about how small humans are in comparison to the entire universe.
-Biked across North America from Austin to Anchorage. Since we were a non-profit org, we never spent money on a hotel. Every night was spent in a new location. I have an album of my various beds/resting places for 70 nights.
