Resumen
Sobre mí
I'm currently having a break from study before I do my masters or PhD so I can practice as a clinical psychologist. I love to travel and have lived abroad a few times. I always find the best thing about it is the people you meet and I've heard couchsurfing is the best place for that so I'm hoping to get to opportunity to do it :) I've only couch surfed once before when I was travelling with a friend but I've decided i want to try it while I'm a solo traveller too.
I'm super friendly and chatty (my dad would say too chatty) and always willing to give things a go. I'm clean and polite and absolutely LOVE people and kids and animals. I'd love to meet some locals in the places in visiting to learn and share as much as I can.
I currently work as a therapist with children with autism and as a researcher in the area of child and adolescent mental health. In my spare time I love to read, play netball, swim, see friends for coffee and I also run a non profit organisation that supports community development projects in Timor-Leste (a place i have been visiting for years and hold very close to my heart).
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm pretty much a total rookie. The CS community was recommended to me by a friend for travels. Since I'm travelling solo I'm hoping to get to know some new people and places through CS.
I don't have a couch to offer at the moment because I live in a share house but hopefully one day I will be able to host too. I love having friends from abroad come and stay with me when they visit Australia.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Not much yet! hopefully this will change very soon :)

Música, películas y libros
Music: Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish, Sigrid, Bon Iver, First Aid Kit, Taylor Swift (for good measure), Bob Dylan, Paul Kelly, LOTS. Soft spot for 80s and 90s hits ;)
Movies: Amelie, la vida bella, About a Boy, Lion King, ALL the musicals (good and bad)
Books: too many but some I've read recently....When Breath Becomes Air, Man's search for Meaning, extremely loud and incredibly close, Silver linings playbook, the perks of being a wallflower.
Algo increíble que he hecho
My favourite places I've visited so far are Morocco, Turkey and TImor-Leste.
I visited Timor when I left school as part of a community group of students travelling on an immersion and development tour. I've been back 4 times since, usually leading new groups of students. I the last year I've started a non-profit with a few mates that raises money to support community development over there so I guess that's pretty cool!
Enseña, aprende, comparte
I'd love to learn more about art, photography, psychology and international politics. But really I'd love to just learn anything new and interesting.
I'd love to share travel stories and stories about daily life at home. I love hearing what's the same and different about people's lives across the world.
Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones
I love a good chat and a wine and am very good at dishes, folding washing and can cook a few just above mediocre vegetarian meals I'd love to make you (what I lack in cooking skill I make up for in enthusiasm).
Also am more than keen to walk some dogs if you've got one who would take up the offer!
