ABOUT ME
Born and raised in San Diego, CA, I spent the better part of the last five years in glorious San Francisco, the city that I call 'home' in the US.
My character is rather paradoxical: I am an introvert at heart and often quiet in large groups, though love social atmospheres and encountering new people. I crave peaceful, serene environments and being surrounded by nature yet thrive in the vibrancy of city-living. My interests range from deep, philosophical discussions to baseball and basketball to live music of almost any kind.
I have a dry, at times crass, sense of humor, and have discovered that if a language barrier can tackle the translation of humor itself, the rest looks promising.
PHILOSOPHY
The idea of developing a set personal philosophy is a bit daunting to me! Some people who have inspired me and helped shape my ideals and values are Cornel West, Frantz Fanon, Howard Zinn, Noam Chomsky, and Edward Said.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
In December 2011, I quit my job and gave up my apartment to set out on a 6-month excursion through Europe and onto the Middle East. During this time, I encountered such lovely strangers who have no doubt turned into life-long friends, all thanks to CouchSurfing. Seeing life in a foreign place from a local perspective and being welcomed into a home without any expectations is a beautiful process that I am incredibly grateful for.
Now, I am living in Ramallah and hoping to soon have the chance to return all of the hospitality that was previously offered to me back to the CS community!
