About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meet new people, conquer the world.

ABOUT ME

I'm a doctoral student at Indiana University, studying health behaviors and reproductive decision making.

PHILOSOPHY

1. There's always time for an adventure.
2. Always let those around you know that they are loved and appreciated.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I offer my apartment and cooking talents to interesting people, in hopes of making friends, gaining knowledge, and having adventures.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted many people over the years and have had nothing but positive and enlightening experiences with it. I also host bands at my house from time to time. (Please be quieter than the bands.) :)

Interests

Biking, reading, baking, yoga, designing, sketching, sewing, swing dancing, hiking, camping, tomfoolery, health reform pedantry, being a bad ass.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Marques, Allende, Anything by David Sedaris or Kurt Vonnegut. Most things published by McSweeney's. Movies/TV: The Princess Bride, City of Lost Children, Delicatessan, Shaun of the Dead, HotFuzz, Hi-Fidelity, Spirited Away, Pete & Pete, Good Eats. Music: any old-timey blues or jazz, ragtime, ska, swing, punk, soul, brass!, most indie bands that feature keyboards, anything I can dance to.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My sister once accidentally cut off my nose with a shovel. Yeah, I know. "Accident" and "shovel" make you cringe. But my nose is fine, and the scars are pretty tiny.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a myriad of things I could share with you - how to bake a souffle, how to sew a blind stitch, how to change the tires on your bicycle, but the best thing I can offer is decent conversation and a positive mental attitude.

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Germany, India, Ireland, Mexico, Qatar, Spain, Switzerland, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
