Overview
About Me
I'm a mid-20-something girl from the Midwest, looking to expand every horizon I can.
I grew up in Minnesota, lived in Colorado for a brief while after college, but ended up right back at home after a series of unfortunate-but-positively-life-altering events.
I currently work in Marketing & Advertising, but am going back to school for a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My hope is to someday combine creative writing, yoga & talk therapy into an all-inclusive mind-body approach to healing & living a well-balanced life.
When I'm not working or studying, I'm often exploring my city via my cellphone camera & Instagram filters, plugging my ears & nodding my head at concerts, or watching some episode of Bo Jack Horseman/Archer/whatever I feel like at the time.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
While I don't currently have a space where I can offer guests a night's stay, I am absolutely all-for the idea of meeting people from around the world, exchanging experiences and cultures, learning about other parts of the world, and just connecting with cool people in general.
Interests
* Warm-weather activities, cold-weather activities, any-weather activities (unless it's in a tornado - I'll pass on that)
* Creative pursuits of all kinds: writing, photography, music, visual arts
* Craft beer, craft breweries and brewing my own beer
* Hiking, sightseeing, non-touristy tourist activities (aka "pretending to be a local")
* Eating food. Even better if it's "weird" or a local favorite of the place I'm visiting

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I traveled through Dubai & Istanbul in 2011, during the Arab Spring uprisings. Both amazing place. Amazing cultures. Oh, and amazing food, too.
Teach, Learn, Share
If you really want, I can teach you how to make soap. We're gonna need some supplies, though.
What I Can Share with Hosts
* Conversation over coffee/beer/food, as light-hearted or deep as you like
* A respectful, gracious and mutually rewarding experience guest-host
* A funny Minnesotan accent
Countries I’ve Visited
Costa Rica, Germany, Mexico, Turkey, United Arab Emirates
