Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We've hosted once in December 2010 when we were living in Gainesville, Florida and had a great time. Then, we stayed with over 40 hosts as we Couch Surfed around America. We're starting to host people in California and are so happy that we can give back to the CS community!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couch Surfing is such an amazing way to learn more about other people and their life experiences, and also learn more about yourself and how to be a better person! We've had consistently wonderful experiences and cannot say enough great things about it!
Interests
Josh introduced Megan to running, rock climbing, and Jesus! Megan is still trying to convince Josh how much fun it can be to cook, bake, and knit. We both enjoy Asian food (or any food, really), bicycle riding, live music, being outside (either doing lazy things or active things), volunteering, taking our dogs (Ben and Samantha) to the dog park, DIY-ing (a new favorite thing to do!) and meeting new people... even though we are both introverts at heart.

Music, Movies, and Books
We love love love movies and music, and Megan loves reading (mostly just fiction but some non-fiction)! We especially enjoy critiquing a movie (if it is a type of movie that lends itself to serious critiquing) but can also watch a silly movie just to enjoy the entertainment. Sometimes we agree with the critics and sometimes we wholeheartedly disagree! Also, we are sticklers for bad CGI.
We both like an eclectic mix of music but our go-to genres are reggae, ska and indie pop/rock. We LOVE concerts and live music!!!!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
We took a 100-day road trip and put 16,000 miles on my car... amazing! We also have snorkeled with sea turtles and sharks in the Galapagos, and hiked the 26 mile Inca Trail in Peru - both wonderful experiences.
Teach, Learn, Share
Megan can teach you how to knit and also share some recipes, and Josh can (try to) teach you how to longboard. Right now we're not trying to learn anything specific; we're two sponges looking to soak up all of the stories, experiences and cultures that we can!
