About Me
CURRENT MISSION
For the long term, I never want to become complacent! Instead, I want to continue to challenge myself each day and strive toward a more peaceful world where everyone can thrive. This includes working towards social justice and helping support community rights and grassroots advocacy initiatives :)
ABOUT ME
I recently graduated from college (the first person in my family to do so!) and have been working on an organic farm that serves refugee and immigrant community members. I want to experience everything, learn as much as possible, and embrace the stories around me. I am a wanderer surrounded by mostly rooted individuals. I studied abroad in Thailand as my first time out of the United States and traveled around by myself in Vietnam for a few weeks after my classes were done. I met so many wonderful couchsurfers that made my experience even more memorable . I took a spontaneous road trip across the US with a friend one summer and I am so thankful for the lovely people that were willing to host me last minute. I have also been inspired by this wonderful community because I love that couchsurfing is built on the notion that you help someone out and maybe someone will help you out down the line.
PHILOSOPHY
Yesterday, I thought I knew myself. Today, I barely know anything. Tomorrow, I can only hope I learn more.
I embrace the people I meet in life because if one person out of a billion crosses your path, there's probably a reason.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I would host people if I had any space at all. I am getting a new place in August and I am excited to pass on the kindness that others have shown me! For now, I can only hope people will be willing to host me. I am not a needy guest at all.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have met some amazing people through couchsurfing! They have all been so welcoming and helpful by pointing out the best places to go to. Some have gone above and beyond providing a place to crash and I have made some great friends through my experiences.
Interests
I enjoy singing, laughing, adventuring, pondering, hiking, kayaking, baking, and listening to people's stories. To name a few things. Mostly I love learning new things.
- singing
- environment
- cooking

Music, Movies, and Books
What would life be without music and words? I enjoy jazz, disco, folk, country indie, pop, 80s, you name it really. I am an avid reader. The last book I read was "The Possibility of Everything" which got me interested in natural medicines. I usually always have a book with me and love to do book swaps.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Just waking up every morning and being alive is amazing to me :) If I had to choose something...living and learning in Thailand for 4 months was an amazing experience! I was lucky to learn about huge issues with development and the environment from local people that are being affected. These passionate people are fighting everyday for their rights and I am inspired to continue learning and fighting for a better tomorrow. I also took a vow of silence for a month as part of a religious studies class so that was pretty life-changing as well.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have a lot I could share whether it be recipes, a good laugh, or an interesting story. I love to learn about people's views on the world and about the places I visit. I can also possibly teach some organic farming stuff and practice speaking beginners Spanish or Thai!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would love to cook together and exchange recipes or just stories.
