About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To add more pages to the book that I hope to write one day.
ABOUT ME
I was an Anthropology Teaching Assistant in college for a professor that defined my major as belonging to those who love "the science of people." I do indeed love to meet people, learn about other cultures and be a part of stimulating conversation. The top of my dream list includes meeting people like you :o) and traveling more.
When it comes to couchsurfing, I like these two quotes:
"The World is a book, and those who do not travel have read only one page." ~St. Augustine
"To travel is to discover that everyone is wrong about other countries." ~Aldous Huxley
PHILOSOPHY
"Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
A couple friends have had wonderful experiences couchsurfing, so I figured I would see what it's all about... Right now I am renting a small place, so, I am not in the position to host anyone. However, don't let that stop you from contacting me. I am always open to meeting new people and providing any help I can offer.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am new to this arena, but, look forward to adding some stories in this block soon.
Interests
I'll have a beer or glass of wine on occasion. I'm not keen on smoking. I've worked in many capacities, always diving into what is unique to any environment. My list of jobs includes: Environmental Education in Berkeley, CA, Swiss Alps Hiking Instructor, Pre-K Teacher in Germany, USO Manager in Germany- assisting Americans with travel and assimilation into European culture... I currently work for a nonprofit in Anchorage. Outside of work, I belong to a great Christian church and love hiking and new experiences.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
far as something amazing in terms of Alaska, I would say that the view from the top of any mountain in Alaska will make a person realize why this place is referred to as "God's Country."
In all my travels thus far, I was most "in awe" of the experience of going into two catacombs in Rome, Italy. Being able to see several layers of civilization was mind blowing.
