Overview
About Me
I have recently relocated to the southwest, right outside Zion National Park in southern Utah - while I am not able to host right now, I am more than willing to share some outdoor adventures here (and i can show you some amazing camping spots)!
My hands are usually occupied with a cup of coffee and/or a book.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I was born and raised in Baltimore. I love this city and it is a pleasure to show people what a day in Baltimore is like. I'll introduce you to my favorite spots and show you around as much as I can.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm always down to open my house up to travelers when I have the time, it is lovely to have a community-feel in the house.
Interests
I've let my house be overtaken with books and plants. Those two things are comforting and make me feel most at home.
I enjoy cooking and drinking a good beer every now and then. I watch a lot of foreign films and documentaries. I also try to spend as much time as I can outside, either hiking, swimming or biking around Maryland.
I love listening to podcasts, especially news/politics podcast -- Democracy Now! is an integral part of my daily routine.
I love talking about what is happening in the world and hearing new perspectives, and what a better way to do that than by traveling!

Music, Movies, and Books
I have always been to addicted to reading and prefer that to television.
I love foreign films and/or criterion films. I am currently absorbing any Iranian new wave film I can find, particularly work by Abbas Kiarostami
the most impactful books I have read lately: Desert Solitaire by Ed Abbey, ANYTHING by James Baldwin (Particularly Giovanni's Room and No Name in the Street), Sherman Alexie, the Shock Doctrine by Naomi Klein. ( I try to read a book every week or two, so this list is ever-changing)
My music taste is wide-ranging and anything beautiful will captivate me. I particularly love badass female vocalists
Baltimore has a good music and arts scene and I can point you in the right direction of shows and albums to check out.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
i experienced the bright, vibrant stars of the milky way for the first time at the henry miller memorial library in Big Sur, CA when I was 17
