About Me
CURRENT MISSION
finally get my head around spanish!
ABOUT ME
i am the quintessential australian, curious about the world and slowly getting around to getting my life in order. after a few false starts, i woke up this morning in a foreign country craving chocolate. now the craving chocolate part isn't that unusual but the foreign land this certainly is.
i am currently on my trip of a lifetime to europe. well, the 3 trip of a life time i guess. loving here in the motherland
PHILOSOPHY
i've had a fairly horrible 12 months, i've crossed my fingers and hoping that it makes me a better person. right. right? drinking helps.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
i've always hosted people in my house, occasionally even giving up my own bed for them. i am only new to the cs project, ignorant of the existance of such a fantastic scheme. i can't wait to meet a few of you both here and at home!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
my favourite couch surfing incident occured on a flight to bangkok from sydney. the lady i sat next to on my flight and i chatted the whole way and she offered me her spare room in her deluxe apartment in sokotahi. such a lovely gesture and a delightful way to start the holiday. she had a pool too. awesome.
Interests
i've a lot of interests. i enjoy studying, i like learning spanish, i adore reading and i love music.
i do a lot of volunteering at home in australia. including working for my local community radio station, pbsfm and helping to organise a few community festivals, which to be honest is probably where my passion is strongest. i also volunteer at my local member of parliament. after all i am studying politics, it's nice to have a hands on approach.

Music, Movies, and Books
at the moment, it's a few spanish text books that are weighing down my suitcase, thanks for the warning qantas. i'm also trying to read jj's ulysses. sheesh!
i am starting to go back and read a whole bunch of classics, hence the james joyce, but dickens is next and anything else that might get me through the next few months with a semblence of sanity retained.
i love watching tv. only on dvd's though. and in marathons. i like red dwarf, family guy, league of gentlemen, 24, entourage (don't tell anyone), true blood, nurse jackie, weeds, the wire, the sheild, sons of anarchy (new season starts sept 8th 2009!), it's always sunny in philadelphia. i could go on. i won't though.
as for music, usually i am a big fan. please don't talk to me about mgmt though. they are dead to me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
i've read some incredible books that have shaped my life. and by the same token, seen some incredible tv shows that have done a very similar thing.
Teach, Learn, Share
trust your instints, but always have a plan b.
try not carrying an umbrella all the time.
always have your passport handy.
the path less travelled will be greener, but the highway will have regular toilet breaks and cold beer at the end.
