About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To live authentically and take on reality as my next adventure.
ABOUT ME
After traveling solo for five months in Europe, I moved to D.C. for a new adventure in live events production for political media. I've pivoted to the nonprofit/social entrepreneur sectors, finding a love of and community within the local food and beverage space. While I'm not backpacking these days, I still look to Couchsurfing when traveling to new places. I love being among a like-minded community of travelers who seek to build friendships with locals amid their travel experiences. This value was inspired by my travels, which helped me see how doing the things I love each day drives adventure in each day.
PHILOSOPHY
Live where your feet are.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I hosted surfers at my summer home in Lake George, NY. It was a tremendous way to get to know fellow travelers, build community, exchange stories, and show eager travelers the beauty of my home. I also stayed with Couchsurfing hosts for the majority of my five-month trip around Europe. Now, I can't see myself wanting to travel any other way. Part of my motive for joining Couchsurfing was to understand more deeply what it means "to host" in the world today, and how to become an excellent one as I host more guests in the future.

Music, Movies, and Books
My Goodreads says it all:

I'm also a "mood" music person. Play something that sounds good in the moment, and I will probably remember it for a lifetime.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Just one? Well, I still think a favorite was camel riding in the Sahara Desert bordering Morocco, star gazing at night, and waking up to the sun rising over sand dunes to the sound of pure silence.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: Almost anything media related! From current events to photography tips, I love engaging others in media. Also, recipes (food and drink)! Cooking for one is never as fun.
Learn: More languages and traditional recipes! Also, Latin dancing, yoga, playing guitar,
Share: Honesty, curiosity, adventure, good company, stories about my travels and family, food and drink, a few songs (you'll catch me singing/humming often), maybe a wee Irish jig?
What I Can Share with Hosts
Given my willingness to learn from and share with others, particularly people from other cultures, I can share with hosts great company! I often get trapped in hours of conversation, sharing stories and talking about global issues. I also have a great sense of adventure and picked up a few recipes while traveling that I would love to share with others!
