About Me
Two years ago I was working in a job that didn't feed my soul in an East Coast city that didn't feel like home. I had the great fortune of being able to leave that job to begin a journey to find my true calling. That journey has taken me across the United States, across the Atlantic to West Africa, and finally back to the US to my home state of California. I've tried out farming, maternal and child health program development, and living in a yoga ashram, among other things. I've realized that what my soul really longs for is community, and a chance to be of service to that community. Local impact, heart to heart connections. That's what I'm here for. So I'm putting down roots in Northern California, applying to graduate school to study Counseling Psychology and looking for jobs related to that field. I'm so grateful for every chapter in this journey, and the internal journey continues, but I'm so happy to physically land in a place that feels like home.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love the spirit of Couchsurfing - its commitment to cultivating global community one interaction at a time. I had great experiences with Couchsurfing in 2008 in Spain and Morocco, and I'm looking forward to being back on here after a long hiatus.
