ABOUT ME
I am a young doctor, but don't really like describing myself as a doctor because it sounds too serious and conjures an imagine that isn't really me. I'm easy going and like being silly. I like travelling, but more than travelling I like living in different places and immersing myself in communities there. Couch surfing is an amazing way to feel like you're living somewhere (albeit briefly) and not just passing through.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is short, so it's worth enjoying it!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We regularly have couch surfers to stay with us when in the UK (often via boyfriend/housemates who also couchsurf) but currently living in South Africa and don't have a such a good option for hosting. Have couch-surfed a bit too - mostly in France and Senegal, including a 3 week cycle tour in the south of France.
Interests
Travelling, tennis, being in the sun, reading, making friends, keeping friends, tea, hockey, swimming in the sea, camping, dancing whilst tipsy, partying occasionally but properly, festivals and more recently slack lining, cycle touring and stand-up-paddle boarding.
Music, Movies, and Books
The Poisonwood Bible is probably my favourite book, also books by Chimamanda Ngozi Adiche, Chinua Achebe, Ben Okri, Tan Twan Eng. I like french films; Micmacs is amazing. And I like music that makes me want to dance. I don't dance well.
