About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Searching for a mongolian mongoose. Last seen in Wood Green.
ABOUT ME
Happy to debate for hours, enjoy being a bit wild and letting the world see it's okay to be who you are. I don't have much censorship of myself but always respect the people I am with and behave in a way that makes them comfortable.
Much of the time I am not drinking alcohol but this is because music is my intoxication!
PHILOSOPHY
Open mind; full life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
When in Bristol I host and when travelling I seek to be respectful, friendly and a little mad if you like. I keep meaning to get more involved in the CS community locally..
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far have had the most incredible experiences ever. It's been wonderful getting to meet new people and see the area through their eyes - you cannot truly know a place unless you've immersed yourself in it, and hanging out with local people is a short cut to get there! I love hosting and being able to show guest some of the hospitality I have received and have some new company. CSing is contagious! I have just moved in to a house with a spare room so have a better space to host (but am also doing a doctorate and working away from home a lot so it can be a bit tricky sometimes).

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is my religion. I love any music that makes me feel or think, spanning a wide variety of genres.
Books are an addiction I am having serious withdrawals from now my time's a bit limited. 'The Women who run with the Wolves' by Clarissa Pinkoles Estes was a life changer for me. One of my favourite books is 'The Master and Margarita' - Bulgakov and I also like old classics, Georges Batailles oh too many to really start thinking! As a teen I adored Poppy Z Brite's gothic and lusty fiction.
Bit of a film snob! Love the work of Aronofsky and Haneke. Documentaries are my usual thing.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Burning Man Festival, Nevada, USA.
Vipassana meditation course.
Caving in Belize, whale-watching in Mexico, insane 3 day collectivo journeys in Guatemala, teaching in Colombia - and Minca hiking, hiking in Haurez, Peru, Jungle living in Ecuador - wait wait it said one! We'll have to talk about the rest.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would like to learn about everything and anything. Happy to share all I can - thoughts, feelings, food, reiki and i am mad in to yoga so happy to do some sessions together.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Cooking, laughing, yoga, Reiki, Philosophy and Psychology chats and any advice around mental health (I'm a mental health clinical psychologist by trade)
