sometimes my friends tease me because i get so high on life and it's awesomeness. but life is great!

THINGS I'M GOOD AT:
~name that tune with alternative rock music- i know my music!
~slapping in card games (egyptian rat screw!)
~soccer goalkeeping
~ping pong!
~making funfetti cake
~jumping off things
~scaring people with my "crazy blue" eyes
~spelling
~starting up conversations with strangers
~stargazing/philosophizing about life

THINGS I'M BAD AT:
~golf
~lying
~cooking
~being patient in traffic or queues
~typing (this is taking hours :) )
~understanding pop culture- i don't watch TV. ever. (wait. who's chuck norris? dr. phil? huh?)
~wearing high heels. i'm too tall anyway.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined CS when I was studying abroad in Granada, Spain. There I hosted a few people in my spanish apartment, and I surfed with people in 12 different countries! All wonderful, memorable experiences I will never forget. I love the CS community and mission :)

Movies: 500 Days of Summer, Good Will Hunting, Amelie, October Sky, Dead Poets Society

Music: favorites are Red Hot Chili Peppers, Radiohead, Incubus, Third Eye Blind, Foo Fighters, but ahh oh so many. I LOVE music, mostly alternative rock but anything is awesome!

Books: The Art of Racing in the Rain, Where the Red Fern Grows, The Giver, Harry Potter, anything by Jodi Picoult, so many more....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was about 14 I went to Puerto Rico with a friend and his family, and one night we went on this kayak trip out to this phosphorescence bay, "bioluminescent bay". There was a full moon, and we paddled through the black water in the moonlight, with big black rainforest flora on either side of us. We reached this wide open bay, and stopped our kayaks with the rest of the group. There are micro-organisms in the water that create the incredible, luminous blue-green light when you move the water. So one moment the water is dark, and then you pass your hand through it and your hand glows, an almost glow-in-the-dark color, and it almost looks as it you can see your bones glowing through the water. Haunting! I jumped in as well, into the warm water, and my body just glowed with every movement! It was actually really creepy, such an unforgettable swim and experience.
