About Me

I'm a 19-year old college student studying abroad in France for the Spring 2017 semester, and I love to travel! I'm pursuing a degree in accounting with a French minor and am super friendly and outgoing. I'm from the U.S. and I was born in Florida but moved to Idaho when I was four years old, and grew up there until I moved to Arizona for college.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm willing to try just about anything, and when I heard about couchsurfing it sounded like a super cool and cost-effective way for me to travel and find places to stay. I love the aspect of potentially staying somewhere unconventional or of meeting new people who live in the country I want to go to.

Interests

My passions include learning new things, anything related to the outdoors like hiking and exploring, and reading anything I can get my hands on. I also love just plain talking to people and absorbing everything around me. I also love good food and trying out different types of tea!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Chance the Rapper, Stromae, Sublime, Zaz, anything with a good beat that resonates through me.
Movies: X-MEN!!! All of the X-men movies, Marvel movies, Forrest Gump, Shawshank Redemption, New Girl, Gilmore Girls, Supernatural, Doctor Who
Books: The Little Princess, The Secret Garden, (Frances Hodgeson Burnett) Anne of Green Gables, Pat of Silver Bush, Rilla of Ingleside (L.M. Montgomery) Rick Riordan's books, Fablehaven, Dan Brown

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmmm recently I traveled to Morocco and spent a night in the Sahara desert, and that is definitely something that I look back on with amazement and wish I could go back.

Teach, Learn, Share

I feel as though teaching, learning, and sharing are all very similar, for when you teach somebody something you share it, and teaching something to someone else is the best way to fully understand it and learn it. Mostly I just want to learn from others, and in that process perhaps I can teach things as well, but the main focus for me is learning. I believe that in learning about other people's culture and lifestyle, you in turn learn much about your own country's culture, and that's what I want to do, is learn and experience everything I can.
