I have a really curious nature and a tremendous hope that we can develop a peaceful prosperous and sustainable worldwide community of human beings sharing the planet respectfully with other species. I think I have been greatly influenced by the natural beauty of my home town and the people who are drawn to live here because we are so close to nature.
I hope to make a worldwide circle of friendships of people who inspire and understand me, and together with them I would like to laugh and dance more often through life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was so privileged to experience the warmth and hospitality of so many people in so many places when I travelled in my younger days. I hope to be able to pass that on to other travellers now, initially through meeting during the day. Perhaps in the future I will be in a position to offer accommodation as well. In the meantime I can introduce people to my amazing circle of Hobart friends and to help them to connect with people and/or events that interest them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Patted a wild Girrafe that approached the open truck I was in.
Visited the traditional lands of Aboriginal friends of mine who shared their knowledge of bush tucker with me.
"Rescued" by helicopter in NZ after assisting someone who "fell" down a mountain when it got too dark to walk to the hut.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn to cook authentic dishes from other countries,
I would love to teach some of the simple dances I know or introduce people to the groups I dance with
I know of simple and profound approaches to healing the human body and soul that have transformed the lives of people all around the world, I am happy to share this if people are interested
