About Me

I am a friendly and outgoing 26-year-old always looking to meet new people. I love traveling the world - I believe the best way to get to know a culture is by eating local food! I'm also very neat, respectful of space/privacy, and always up for adventure.

My boyfriend, Alex, and I just finished a 15-month trip in New Zealand and SE Asia. We spent 9 months living in a van in New Zealand traveling the beautiful country and WWOOFing (Worldwide Opportunities on Organic Farms). We also visited over 70 wineries - let's just say I'm a fan!

Then we spent 6 months backpacking in SE Asia and tried to get off the typical tourist track. I didn't go to a full moon party in Thailand, but we have plenty of other awesome stories from our travels.

We just returned in December and Alex landed a job in Carbondale, so we packed up our belongings from storage and moved to Colorado. We have loved exploring our new home and taking advantage of living in the mountains. Once we settle down somewhere I want to give back to the Couchsurfing community and start hosting people - we've had such great experiences in the past!

Traveling was one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my life! I definitely want to continue to travel and meet people from all over the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love a wide variety of music - from Otis Redding to Run the Jewels, Bon Iver to Jamie xx, Local Natives to Prince.

I'm a big Quentin Tarantino and Wes Anderson fan (very different, I know).

My favorite books include The Stranger by Albert Camus, As I Lay Dying by William Faulkner, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith, and many autobiographies. Always looking for book suggestions!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I summited the most active volcano in Indonesia, Gunung Merapi, and watched the sunrise from the top. It was a challenging hike in the dark, but the view was totally worth it!

Teach, Learn, Share

I play guitar, although I'm not the best teacher - I can try!

I have heaps of stories and would love to hear yours. I'm always looking for ways to get off the beaten track, too.
