About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore the Americas

ABOUT ME

Two of us now :D Meggie and Harmony

ABOUT MEGGIE:
I have been traveling for over a two years now :) I have gone from San Fran all the way down to Peru through all of Central America.. And somehow my Spanish is still average. After which I flew up to Puerto Rico and hung out with a mate from home for a month. Man that was bliss! Met up with my partner in crime Harmony towards the end of March after traveling from Austin to Florida. We bought a '99 Hyundai Elantra and drove up the east coast of the states to Toronto. It was here we settled for 4 months and re-established our funds. Then we picked up and set off again for the Canadian Rockies, it took us a month to get across the mid west and up to Banff where we settled down again for almost a year. The whole experience so far has been incredible, and as you could imagine and I have met many interesting and different people along the way. We have currently done 10,000 miles in the Harry the Hyundai and it has been nothing less than incredible. The States has some of the most beautiful landscapes and we have seen a myriad of them. From the Prairies to the Badlands, the Geysers of Yellowstone to the hills of Glacier National Park. We have seen a lot. Now we are getting moving again and aiming for Vancouver and move down the west-coast from there. Highway 101 here we come!

I'm 23, just completed my undergrad and not sure what to do next. Really just want to meet great people and see great places and do great things for a while before (if*) I settle down. Hoping this will widen my travels a little off the tourist route.

ABOUT HARMONY:

Hey :) I am Harmony, also 23 from the land down under! Joined the trip in March in Florida where as I hope you already know we bought a car and drove up the east coast. I siting many towns along the way. We worked at an Irish pub on the waterfront in Toronto living in little Portugal. We made so many friendships there and it was hard to leave. The encouraging thing is we will never forget them or our time there and we are keen as mustard to meet all the new comers on our world trip (hopefully!).

Previously, I have travelled through Europe and South East Asia not to mention Bali! These were amazing trips and I am so keen to start this trip. Just starting off couch surfing this trip so take it easy on me :) but so far really loving the experience.

I am pretty easy-going, although love a beverage when the occasion calls for it. Huge smile and love a laugh!! Looking forward to meeting lots of like minded travellers and locals :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Watched a lot of classics, all of the above that make you think a bit more, expand your ideas, get you guessing and draw you in. Although when I'm tired or hungover I'll watch pretty much anything with nachos (or chilaquiles in mex) in front of me :p

Trying out... Drawing and jewelry making.
