Overview
About Me
Hello! I am a full-time psychology/anthropology student at UHH, and have lived in Hilo Hawai'i for five years. I am happily married and owner of a great cat, but lover of all animals.
I plan to open a program in the islands that will serve adults with varying challenges through art, music, dancing, yoga and gardening, and to spread the Aloha far and wide until then.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on Couchsurfing as a way to make connections for the summer. I am looking for a longer term, summer season arrangement while I work in Ketchikan. I can also return the favor of hosting on Hawai'i island (the big one)!
Interests
I am an artist and gardener, enjoy hot yoga, dancing, hiking, camping and swimming in rivers.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to a variety of music, and will be *attempting* to learn the ukulele (finally) while away this summer. I love Neil Gaiman, Clive Barker, and books about culture or food. I am inspired by Temple Grandin, Alan Watts, Viktor Frankel, and regular humans.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have worked with special needs persons for much of my adult life, and while some individuals may find this work exhausting, it truly continues to inspire me. There is nothing else I have ever wanted to do with my life more.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share my knowledge and love for Hawai'i nei, and even build you a garden. Things will grow quickly with all of the extra daylight!
I would also love to learn more about the precious natural environment beyond the lower 48.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my Aloha, my passion for life, and a bit of money if you would like.
Countries I’ve Visited
Aruba, Canada, Dominica, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, U.S.
