Hello! My name is Meghan. I will be living in Taiwan for a few months this year (2019) and will be traveling in Japan in September! I am very inspired by the openness and kindness on this site. I love traveling but haven't been able to do much of it in the past few years, so this will be a special year.

I'm not the best at filling out About Me sections. Conversation comes much more naturally and I enjoy good conversations.

I am studying to get my TEFL certification currently. I am vegan and love animals. I am am happy to talk with people with different perspectives. I am not pushy about my ways! I just like to enjoy the moments and new experiences.

I was trying to find affordable ways to travel and stumbled upon this. I have always loved meeting people and learning about new cultures and different ways of life, so this seems like a perfect fit.

I enjoy things that encourage me to embrace goodness. Some music I enjoy - Matisyahu, Bob Marley, Ingrid Michaelson, Michael Buble, Jason Mraz, Mandy Harvey...a capella groups, acoustic covers, and mash-ups sometimes depending on my mood. I might also listen to classical music or instrumentals if I'm focusing on a project. :)

I haven’t been reading a ton lately. But, I am interested in the body, herbs, and natural medicine.

I traveled across most of Europe when I was younger and through some parts of South and Central America.

Gratitude and time. I am happy to be respectful of house rules and to treat my host's home as if it were my own family's - keeping the place safe (locked and closed before leaving if responsible for such things), cleaning after myself or just not being a mess, respecting my host's time and work needs (being quiet if working from home, not disrupting sleep, etc.).
