About Me
Hey everyone! I'm very outgoing, friendly, laid back and love to travel. I grew up in London Ontario but I now go to school in Ottawa's chilly capital Ottawa. I love meeting new people and making new friends, and having deep conversations over a glass of wine or beer. I'm excited to hang out but sometimes need an afternoon or so to wander around on my own. Excited to meet you!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on here to make friends while I'm traveling, interact with locals and enrich my traveling experience. It's also a much more affordable way to travel. I would also love to meet new people and invite them into my home, although I won't be available to host people until I get my own place in September.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like a lot of niche music genres, I love rap and hiphop, rock, metal, some electronic, bluegrass country, and anything bizarre I can find in between.
One of my favourite novels I read recently is Sweetness in the Belly by Camilla Gib
I'm more of a TV series girl than movies. One of my favourite series was Breaking Bad, and right now I'm watching Dear White People
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I lived in Uganda for 6 months! I can entertain you with stories about this adventure all day
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm just finishing up my first year of my masters degree in Globalization and International Development with a specialization in women's studies. I try to see the world through a post colonial- feminist lens and don't even get me started on politics.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am happy to have fellow travellers stay in my home if they want to explore Ottawa. I can show you around to all the best restaurants, bars, events and activities. I can also cook delicious vegan meals for you
