After traveling (or running) for most of my life, I'm finally growing some roots here in Jacksonville Beach, FL - and it feels wonderful! We live a block from the ocean here, and have a large (permaculture/biodynamic) garden/small urban farm in our yard (honey bees included!). I've decided to become a Montessori teacher for the next 3+ years (Toddler age), while I practice my hands at urban farming/gardening. Originally from upstate NY, I would like to return there one day to "live off the land" (as much as possible) and reestablish community in our rural area. For now, I'm here and I LOVE waking up and watching sunrises, fermenting any & erything, learning, growing, expanding, loving, and being here right meow on earth.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm starting Montessori training in late June in Huntersville, NC and will be there for six weeks (minus one week break), so I'd like to find a place nearby to stay while I'm in training. Then, when I return to our beach abode here in Jacksonville in mid-August, I would like to open our couch up to travelers (even possibly WWOOF'ers too!) so that I can live vicariously through all of the amazing people I meet on this site! And have people come cross-culturally pollinate our abode.

Well, I had LOTS of help doing this! I mean, first someone had to invent the plane, and then build it, and then fill it with gas somehow, and then fly it, and I basically just bought plane tickets and rode in it for 10 months while I traveled around the world.
