About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To enjoy life in Berlin to the fullest!
ABOUT ME
I'm a 26 year old American currently living in Berlin with my husband (https://www.couchsurfing.com/users/1005426973/profile). After growing up in Delaware (cue Wayne's World reference) I spent a few years living in Washington, DC before moving to Germany in search of adventure & career opportunities. Right now I'm a "Hausfrau" but I've been learning web development & design. However, my first love will always be biology.
I haven't had to chance to couchsurf or host yet, but I have attended a few CS meet ups in Berlin and other cities. I really like the sense of community and openness and I am excited to be a part of it now that I have an apartment suitable for hosting. :)
As far as traveling goes, I'm pretty laid-back and down to do whatever. I prefer to wander around a city and see how the residents live rather than go on sightseeing tours. Couchsurfing sounds like an awesome way to get a taste of real life in a city, not just what is recommended on TripAdvisor!
You can check out my blog to verify that I'm a real person - http://www.megnanimously.com. :)
PHILOSOPHY
“I’m not sure what I’ll do, but— well, I want to go places and see people. I want my mind to grow. I want to live where things happen on a big scale.”
― F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Ice Palace and Other Stories
"Go make a life, not a living." - Jason Mraz
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm hoping CS will introduce me to new and interesting people & places. I also like how CS makes travel cheaper (so more people can enjoy it!) and more of an 'experience'.
