Hi, I'm Meghan! I'm a 30-something Chinese-American that grew up in California. I was born in China but immigrated to the US at 4 years old. I speak fluent Mandarin, English and am learning français and español. I worked in corporate America for 10+ years before leaving that behind and traveling full-time.

I love the outdoors and have done everything from trekking to Machu Picchu and camping on the Great Wall of China to road-tripping around New Zealand in a campervan and scuba diving in Croatia. I have a ton of hobbies including snowboarding, hiking, rock climbing, camping, backpacking, riding motorcycles, dancing salsa/bachata, scuba diving, and baking.

I love meeting people, exploring cities and eating good food! I'm a people-person and enjoy learning from and hearing everyone's story, and I think Couchsurfing is one of the best ways to do that. I'm always looking for friends, travel buddies, hosts and local guides.

I've done some pretty cool things but I think what I'm most proud of is having the courage to leave the stability and predictability of a corporate career for the instability of full-time travel. iykyk 😝

I can teach you about Chinese culture, how to save money while traveling, how to speak Mandarin, how to speak English, how to read maps, how to make an amazing orzo salad with crispy salmon... haha!

I also used to work in Human Resources so I have a lot of back-end knowledge about employment, especially in California. I can help you with your resume, give you interviewing tips and career advice.
